The Dr. Ramesh Kumar Foundation was proud to be selected by Gold Cash Gold Detroit as their charity partner for this program for the month of January.

Gold Cash Gold is proud to partner with many of the city’s local charities to help better the lives of people in our area.

The Tuesday night "Buckets & Bubbles" special features their iconic fried chicken paired with a bottle of cava for $35. Proceeds were given back to the Dr. Ramesh Kumar Foundation.

We greatly appreciate Gold Cash Gold Detroit for their giving spirit and for helping us continue to spread kindness in the world.

The Dr. Ramesh Kumar Foundation partnered again with the Live Like Max Foundation and took advantage of NCAA March Madness with a 50/50 contest.

Brackets for only $5 entry, with half of the proceeds going to the Live Like Max Foundation and the other half going to the winner.

We had several participants submit multiple entries and as our home-state team Michigan lost to Villanova in the final, we were at least happy to be able to provide Live Like Max with several hundred dollars as a donation.

For the second year in a row, the Dr. Ramesh Kumar Foundation hosted the Giving on the Green Charity Golf Tournament at Saginaw Country Club.

Some highlights from this year’s event:

• Approximately 300 participants!

• Raised over $80,000!

• Funds were donated to four organizations that assist in providing medical care to the underserved:

  • Great Lakes Bay Health Center

  • The Helen M. Nickless Volunteer Clinic

  • SVSU Nursing School

The Dr. Ramesh Kumar Foundation partnered with Beaumont Health and again with the Live Like Max Foundation to provide free health screenings for all Saginaw area high school students.

Through the combined health of each organization, our event featured over 100 volunteers and 5 physicians to successfully screen 125 students.

• 20 students were advised to schedule an appointment with their physician.

• 5 students required complete cessation of all athletic events.

• 20% of the students screened by our physicians were found to have something that would not have been found during a routine physical that is currently required before athletic competition.

• The Half Hearted Team was present along with all the volunteer nurses and students from Saginaw Valley State University, and Central Michigan University.
